For sale: a set of steel BMW E36 adapters with corresponding mounting bolts for the original control arms. The adapters are CNC machined, which ensures a high-quality finish and a 100% accurate fit of the adapter to the ball joint and pin ends. The adapters are protected with a zinc layer. During installation, the steering rod and the end piece of the tie rod must be shortened by 1 cm; the body remains unaffected. Depending on the wear of the ball joint and any differences in castings, it may be necessary to shorten the bolt that attaches the adapter to the ball joint. This is to prevent it from coming into contact with the shock mounting bracket. Our adapters are designed for Meyle ball bearings with a conical fit. We have noticed that different manufacturers use varying tolerances in machining. As a result, the mounting thread of the ball bearing may protrude from the adapter, preventing it from being securely tightened. In that case, you can use a washer to space the nut so that it tightens properly. The minimum inner diameter of the rim to mount this adapter is 370 mm. The adapters increase the track width by 2 cm per side, resulting in approximately 55 degrees of steering angle.
